Professional Qualification : B.ED, M.ED, M.A(EDU) is professionalqualification, which is not mandatory.May also be acquiredwithin 03 years ofappointment.

NTS Syllabus for AEO Posts Under Punjab Education Department:
100 marks test for Assistant Education Officer positions which would include following marks distribution and qualifying marks.
30 Marks – Course content of text books primary classes, curriculum, child assessment, CPD, Literacy, Item development, quality driver etc.
10 Marks – Article 25-A The Punjab Free & Compulsory Education Act, 2010, 100% enrollment of children of school going age and 100% retention of enrolled students, quality education.
20 Marks – Policies.
15 Marks – The Punjab Employees Efficiency Discipline And Accountability Act, 2006, The Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010. The Punjab School Education Department (School Education) Service Rules, 2014. the Revised Leave Rules, 1981.
15 Marks – English Grammar & Comprehension.
